The Hong Kong Aids Prevention Society (HKAPS) is a non-profit charity dedicated to preventing HIV transmission, supporting affected individuals, and promoting inclusive public health policies. Through research, education, and advocacy, we strive to build a healthier and more informed society. We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated Researcher to contribute to our evidence-based programs and policy influence.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement research projects related to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and public health interventions.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights for program development and policy advocacy.
- Publish research findings in high-impact, Q1 international journals.
- Collaborate with local and international health organizations, universities, and government bodies.
- Prepare research reports, grant proposals, and policy briefings.
- Present research outcomes at conferences, seminars, and public forums.
- Support the Society’s knowledge dissemination and community outreach initiatives.
Job Requirements
- PhD in Life Sciences, Public Health, Global Health, Medicine, Infectious Diseases, or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Strong publication record in Q1 international peer-reviewed journals in relevant disciplines.
- Experience in HIV/AIDS, sexual health, or infectious disease research is highly preferred.
- Proficient in using SPSS is a must; additional experience with other data analysis tools and statistical software is highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Passionate about public health, community service, and social impact.
